The collection consists of a 22 page manuscript on legal paper titled, "The Bryan Family of South Carolina and Georgia." Correction and following a partial record sent D.E. Huger by Mr. T.F. Screven. It chronicles the Bryans and allied families, chiefly the descendants of Joseph Bryan and his wife Janet Cockran (Cochran). Bryan is first noted as having received a South Carolina land grant 12 January 1705.
